I just finished my Scary Stories (*ahem*, I mean "Horror Literature") class, and I actually kind of liked the last author we discussed. We read The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson and talked about it for about two class periods. If you ask me, the ending isn't really anything to argue about... it's pretty clear to me. But apparently not everyone thinks so. Anyway, if you care to discuss it with me, I'd love to talk
I also noticed that on the cover of every book we bought for that class, the author's name was bigger than the title. That's just not cool! I don't think a book should be marketed mainly on the author, but alas... it happens all the time.
Pop quiz: if you were an author, would you have a pen name, like Mark Twain? What would your name be?

I can understand them making the writer's name bigger if they had a series of book, but I still think you're right about the fact that they don't need to do that.
My pen name? Well, if I told you that, you'd know it was me.
