Okay, everyone: I've got a problem.

It's a title-related problem. I'm planning to start posting pages for a comic fairly soon, but for the life of me, I CAN'T think of a title!!!

So here's what I'm asking. How do you guys think of titles for things? What kinds of titles are your favorites? Do you have suggestions? And should I just throw the pages out and think of a title later?

Any advice is appreciated!!

Hmm... tricky subject...
The title is the first thing that'll draw anyone to your comic. You need it to fit your story, but not give anything away.

I always like to give my stories a corny title and then write it in Japanese or some other language that kinda sorta fits the story.
Example: Something like "Kumori Sora" sounds cool, but really just means "Cloudy Sky." This will draw people in and then even encourage them to look it up. Then its not corny, its clever. ;)

The main rule I always follow is this: Never write a title until its finished. Once you have the whole story in your head, you can get a good title in no time.

For titles I like to play off the main theme of the story but then mix in some unique element from the story that makes it unique!
So... if the main theme is love and the story is about birds I might call it Lovebirds!!
...Okay that was a really awful example but you get it lol

Or you could choose some interesting motif that occasionally turns up in the story, but secretly has DEEP MEANING and name the story after said motif. That gives it a mysterious feel ~whoooo~

Personally, my favorite kind of title is the kind where it seems at first like it has nothing to do with the story, but then way late in the book or comic or whatever, a character says the title and then the WHOLE THING MAKES SENSE. Those are the best lol

Or you could always take the easy way out and name it after the main character...

I like the mysterious ones too! I would have to agree that naming something after the main character is the easy way out. I mean, sometimes it works, like in the case of MacGyver, but mostly it doesn't.

Thanks for your input! :)
